Clocks spring forward

Finally and at long last the clocks go forward on Sunday hooray !!!! I've been counting down for months. I hate the long dark evenings and long for the better weather.

Had a good day scrapping yesterday, Dawn and I both did the class kit from Otley crop. Photo is of Vikki age 7 and Marc age 9 and the layout is for Vikki's album.

Eric has managed to resurrect Vikki's car yet again so she's a happy bunny!

The weekend

Had a lovely day at crop on Saturday, and did this layout of Ben at 3 months old for his album.

Seems such a long time ago now.

Sunday Eric and Marc had decided to go on a greyhound walk at Alton waters and took Sandy, Lucky, Jim and Ranger. The walk was an organised event and open to greyhounds and lurchers only so Gangley couldn't go and Eric decided as they had to be on the leads that Alfie Bear had better stay home as well as he is a NIGHTMARE on the lead.
The wonderful weather we had enjoyed all week held good and they had a brilliant time.

Meeting up and setting off

Marc with our four.

and with just the girls

Some of the hounds cooling off in the water.

and finishing off with sausages!

Whilst the hounds were out Vikki and Ben came over, the little man was so disappointed his Grandad wasn't here but we had a nice time sitting in the garden making the most of the sun and then when Eric and Marc returned we went to the village pub for a lovely lunch courtesy of Marc.

A good weekend.

I've been re arranging my albums and realised I had some gaps in Ben's album. Sometimes I do a layout for the yearly album but forget to do one for Ben's album, so I decided to scrap this photo again. Interesting to see how my style (if I have one) has changed.

I incorporated the weekly challenge over on UKS for this and the challenge was to use 1 of something, mixed alphas's for title, contrasting papers and to stamp something. The photo is of Ben and Eric in July 2007 and was the first time Ben came out with his now famous catchphrase "Grandad I help I do it" LOL

and this is how I scrapped it 18 months ago for my 2007 album

Off to Otley crop tomorrow on my own as Dawn is going to London to see Oliver. Lovely Christmas present from her family but did they have to book it on a crop day !!

What a glorious day you can almost feel SPRING. Only two more weeks then the clocks go forward. As all who know me will testify I've been counting down the weeks for months, I HATE the winter.

Anyway think I've rescued this layout finally. The photo is of Vikki taken in 1984 when she was four. Another one for her album.

Friday 13th came one day early for me on Thursday when everything I touched went wrong!!! dropped it knocked it spilt it you name it and I did it LOL. Dawn and I scrapped but the layout I was doing is still sitting on my desk waiting to be RESCUED!!

This layout is from last Saturdays crop at Bramford and was designed by Karen and Wendy. I love the bright colours of it but it took me ages to decide on a photo. Eventually I decided on this one of Ben and my brothers boys, they were so engrossed in playing with the truck that we just couldn't get them to turn round and smile for the camera!

Went into the bedroom yesterday to take a photo of the beautiful quilt Mum has made us to replace the original one which is falling to pieces and found this

Since the new quilt arrived the bedroom has been off limits to the dogs during the day but Gangley has her own idea's on this!

The quilt is gorgeous with so much work gone into it, hence the ban of dogs on it, but as Gangley said she wasn't on it but under it LOL..

A lovely weekend!

Saturday Dawn and I went to Bramford crop and had a lovely day, did this simple layout of Jim. Well it had to be simple as my hands were still hurting after the sewing epic LOL. The journaling tells his story of how he came here and his racing history. Not that I'm interested in the racing side of it I HATE IT but felt it needed to be recorded.

Sunday we went to the scrapbooking extravaganza in Needham Market and I spent way to much but did resist having cake with my cup of tea and then had to re organise stash to make room for the new stuff. Still have loads left to sort/tidy but I've had enough for now besides which I want to play with my new stamps!!!

Alfie Bear gave us a real scare last night, his blind eye started to swell up and swell up and swell up it was huge, the only thing we can think of is he must have run into something solid. I was sure he'd be at the vets this morning but the swelling has gone down alot overnight. That dog is always covered in bumps and bruises poor little chap just doesn't see things when there on his blind side.

Little Vik

Scrapped with Dawn yesterday and did this layout for Vikki's album. Photo is her first playschool photo and she just looks so cute.

The journaling tells the story of how Vikki became known as Little Vik !

I used Basic Grey paper and some Basic Grey rub ons. Had ago at doing some net stitching which took forever and when I had finished decided the green was wrong but there was no way I was doing it again LOL.

Dogs all outside enjoying the sun, bit chilly still but on the deck it's a sun trap so all six are sprawled out there.
