Christmas presents

So what with the op next week and not being able to craft for a few weeks there after I thought I had better crack on and have just made these for a friend, some have photo's of her daughters and hounds and some just buttons. They look quite pretty IRL.

Think I had better get on with some Christmas cards and have a few more card orders that I had better do PDQ LOL...

Thank you all for the messages. Dentist wasn't as bad as I had imagined, managed to get myself in a right tizz over it LOL. Feeling a tad sore with wrist and mouth but otherwise I'm okay LOL.

Hospital update

First up I want to say thank you for all the good luck messages,

Well it's not everyday you get the Top  Rheumatologist and hand surgeon all to yourself LOL, both top guys I can tell you.

So the upshot it the wrist/hand is filled with a cyst of gungy fluid which is pressing on the nerves! They tried to remove it with needles but the yucky stuff was so thick only a small amount came out.

SO  Friday I'm going back for a pre admission slot and next Thursday I'll have an operation. The plan is to cut in 3 places and try to remove as much of it as they can without damaging the nerves. After the replacement wrist broke and silicon leaked out there  was always the chance that this might happen.

So Dentist tomorrow, tooth broke and fell out leaving the roots in, oh deep joy so looking forward to tomorrow NOT !!!! then back to hospital Friday and again Thursday BUT at least the op will be just day surgery.

Such a fun week and I'll miss Papermaze crop bummer !!!!! hopefully after two weeks I should be able to to start using it...................

SCD Challenge

So a new month brings a new challenge over at SCD and for October it's ..........................................
Atc or a card or may be a scrapbook layout using the colours the Design Team have chosen and for this week Gez has chosen........  shades of Autumn (oranges, browns, golds).

My "thingy" is 3 inches by 3 inches (may have a plan developing), I've used DI's spiced marmalade, mustard seed, crushed olive, walnut stain and fired brick, some for the background and others mixed to get the colours on the leaves. Then stamped the background script and the tree and then some leaves, finished off with some little cosmo crickets letters.

Took me a while to get an idea but rather pleased with the simplicity of this.Really do enjoy spending Sunday afternoon's doing this challenge.

Today is our wedding anniversary so we're having a Chinese and watching the motorbike racing , who said romance is dead LOL, Mr T did make me a rather lovely card!

Fridays scrapping

A quick simple layout today

Wasn't feeling great and hands were giving me hell due to making 2 decoupage cards yesterday for a last minute order! wish I could say no but the orders fund my cards I make to raise money for greyhound charities.

Sadly one of our girlie's passed away in the night, when we rescued them they were classed as past their best for egg laying (battery hens) and they've been with us for 18 months or so. It's good to know she had a lovely 18 months as a proper hen but still feel quite sad about it.

Bramford crop tomorrow!

It's started!

OMG can't believe it but I've made a start on Christmas presents !!!!

A  friend of ours became a first time Grandma recently, so I've made her a canvass with a photo of the baby, so that's 1 down and heaps of other prezzies to make LOL.

Came across this last week, it's called faux dichroic glass technique and was totally blown away by it, so despite not having the right paint I had a go any way. Totally rubbish photo's and no where near as lovely as Julie's (and how kind she shared her new found technique) but boy are they so totally gorgeous IRL. I've done 8 different pieces but blogger isn't playing nicely tonight so here's two for now.
Even Mr T said wow how did you make them. High praise !!

Jim had an iffy day Tuesday but seems okay now, of course mega worrying took hold but I guess he's entitled to the same ordinary ailments as the other hounds but of course we put 2 and 2 together and come up with 5 d'oh !!!!

Mr T has just installed my new PC he has built me (early Christmas present) I want to play around with digi stuff but my old PC  just couldn't cope and I fear regular crafting may go out the window if the surgeon decides I need yet another op on my hand when I go up Tuesday, so at least with digi I can still kind of play if the worst happens.

Scrapping with Dawn tomorrow and nothing prepared for that or Bramford crop on Saturday, had better get a shift on LOL...

SCD

So  over at SCD the challenge this week is still arches and the theme is "BIRDS", yipee I have bird stamps and bird chipboard LOL.

My arch is cut from grungeboard because I wanted to try TH alchol ink agate on grunge LOL, so I duly painted my grunge then added AI's to it, then stamped some images and heat set. The bird cage I painted black, then silver then rubbed it down to distress it. The chipboard bird I painted, then added AI's then used glossy accents. You can image the mess my desk is in and as for my hands, lets just say the bleach will be needed. Had great fun with this.

I find taking a decent photo near on impossible but just wanted to show this photo, which the light caught and it didn't really show the arch so well, but it did capture how shimmery the background is......

PS manged a little stroll around the town, there and back in an hour but oh so enjoyed myself.

Fridays's scrapping

Been a bit of a busy week with no chance to prepare anything, so went with the class kit from papermaze crop. Funnily enough so did Dawn,.papers are from Basic Grey Capella and the photo is of my Mum and Dad.

Luckily it's an easy one (still made several mistakes though) as Ben went into hospital for a tooth out and I was obviously a tad pre occupied. Good job Dawn was here otherwise the waiting would have been much worse. Ben is fine of course and was back home by 7pm...

Jim had several days of being off this week, which sent us into major panic mode but he seems fine again now so maybe he had just over done it!

Hoping to nip into town now and buy a little prezzie for my brave little grandson. Haven't managed a wander into town since July because of  hip so fingers crossed LOL.
