What a day!

So Saturday I went off to crop and had a really lovely time, unaware of what was happening back home because where I go there is no mobile reception.

Eric had taken all the dogs out for a walk and Alfie running full pelt smashed into little Gangley (she was on his blind side). Poor little thing was thrown through the air and crashed down very heavily. Eric rushed over to her as she was screaming, blood pouring out of nose, mouth and ears. Rushed to vets and they said they didn't think anything was broken but she could be concussed! This morning she is still leaking watery blood from her nose and we found a piece of bone embedded into Alfie's knee. She's had anti inflammatory jabs and anti biotic jabs, just hope she doesn't need to go back to vets, she has a really nasty graze on her face as well.

Lucky having had a couple of good days is looking quite poorly today with her joints hot and inflamed again. Chemo is booked for Friday so need to try and stabilise her.

Little Ben came to stay last night, he helped his Grandad do the tea and walk the dogs. He went to bed at 8.45 and didn't hear a peep out of him until we woke up. Now he's older and doesn't need help dressing etc it was fun having him here rather than tiring.

So I did two layouts at crop and really enjoyed not being on poopie watch LOL.

First up is of the boys helping me unwrap my birthday presents, not really happy with this one and not sure why! Second is of Ben with his other Grandparents having fun in the snow we had. This is a hybrid LO, which means a lot of it is digi with the flowers printed out and decoupaged onto it. This one I like LOL.

Busy Bee

Still no date for op! may have to bite the bullet and ring hospital this week and one pin is getting close to breaking through the skin but I'm pleased I've held out this long as the wrist has become much stronger the last few weeks.

Made two more Christmas presents, first is a 20 x 16 inch clip frame for son all about the walk with the Suffolk Police press officers write up in the middle. Rubbish photo because it has a protective film over it.

Second is a canvass for my dear friend Shellie, photo from their last visit in June, and woohoo they're coming again this weekend.

Then two layouts from Bramford crop, first is of Mum aged sixteen, love this photo and the kit was perfect for it.

Then a rare photo of me and Eric at Mum's 70th birthday BBQ, such a simple layout but I love it.

Alfie Bear has conjunctivitis in his blind eye and has been really out of sorts for the bear, Jim has good and bad days with his one remaining back leg, seems to be the knee not locking out. So of course his Daddy takes him for a ride around the village when he's not up to walking, my hounds are not SPOILT ARE THEY lol
Ruby had a miserable day Friday with the heat and humidity but now it's cooler she back to being full of beans, other than her rapid breathing and being a tad skinny she looks so well,  it's hard to think just how ill she is.

So on to the next Christmas project LOL....

NSD Crop

Had a lovely day at Bramford crop yesterday, thank you Janina!

There was a really relaxed atmosphere but being the lightweight I am we left mid afternoon, I wonder how many lasted to 8pm. Managed to finish off two layouts,I've worked on them several times but both were a bit fiddly with iffy hands so pleased to finally finish them off.

Both are class kits from Papermaze crop and designed by Vanessa. The first one had a background done by spraying glimmer mist through a mask, no way was I attempting that LOL but did managed a very similar effect digitally.

Lucky has had more test and were hopig for the results tomorrow, she's been very quiet all weekend and shocked us both today when she refused her brekkie, unheard of for the ducks....

papermaze crop

What a difference 48 hours can make!

Had a wonderful day at papermaze crop and so enjoyed catching up with my crafting friends and having a normal day LOL.

Hand, hip and tummy are all feeling much more comfortable today and one has stopped feeling soory for one's self LOL.

I do have to say a massive thank you to my bestest friend Dawn who takes such good care of me when we're out and is the only person in the world Eric trusts to look after me and to Carol who made me the most gorgeous card (actually I've had loads from all the girls several times over, maybe I should give them back and they can resend them each time I get myself into a pickle LOL).

Finally finished this LO which has been ongoing since first op in Oct LOL, couldn't manage to ink the flowers but still quite happy with it. The photo was taken in 2007 and is of me, Eric, Vik, Marc (son) and Ben. It's a papermaze kit using papers from Fancy Pants.

Then shock horror I finished off another layout, my first hybrid page, kit was designed by Janina for Bramford crop and had the most beautiful script and bird stamps, well stamping isn't possible at the moment and although people offered to do it for me I decided to have a go at creating it digitally. Then I added the photo and flowers and I am really chuffed with it. It does look so much more beautiful IRL. Photo is of me Eric and Ben all dressed up at Marc and Rachael's wedding last year. Photo's are rubbish but there is no light here today and dark and gloomy.

Finally some good news re Lucky her urine levels had dropped significantly when she went to the vets Friday! maybe we are finally on the right track and it is a thyroid problem.

Ruby continues to be the perfect house guest and Lucky is really enjoying her company, she has been quite lonely since little Rulu passed away as Rulu was her special friend.

So a few photo's of Ruby and co chilling out.....with Jim, then Jim Gangley and Alfie and lastly Ruby all stretched out.

SCD Challenge

This week the challenge over at SCD is still tags but the theme is Fantasy !!!!! as soon as I read it this image popped into my head and I had to run with it, even if I should be designing and making the table plan for the wedding. Rachael DIL to be asked me yesterday, well I nearly fainted with shock (only because it's a bit short notice for me) having spent weeks laughing at Dawn because she's doing it for Hollie, that will teach me as I have under a week to design and do and we all know how slow I am LOL. I have however finish the mini album I've been making for the last 2 weeks LOL.

Anyway back to the tag, background is DI inks and random stamping, then I've downloaded some red killer heel shoes (and anyone who knows me understands why I wish I could wear them) and then the body of a barbie doll and a photo of my face at 18 *sigh* and voila. I love it !!!

Went to Papermaze crop yesterday and had a wonderful day, did the kit from last month as a present for Vikki's MIL as her daughter and family who have been here for the last two weeks went home to America today. I can imagine just how sad she will be feeling so thought it might make her smile to the lovely photo's displayed.

So back to the table plan, I've rushed out to the Range this morning and come home armed with a bag of all things purple, lilac and cream, so I had better get doing LOL.

Dogs have all had baths today and look and smell yummy!!!! MR T went out on his motorbike 3 hours ago to B&Q and is as yet to return, me thinks he's off having a ride. Guess I had better feed myself !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Phew !!!

Finally a break in the heatwave and today it has rained all day with temperatures dropping to a much bearable level. Now that wasn't really a moan was it, more an observation LOL.

Scrapped on Friday as usual but as I'm working on a birthday project can't share yet.

Saturday had a lovely day at Bramford crop and despite having several of my own Lo's prepared and I loved the kit Ang had done for us so much I did it there and then. Dreadful photo not sure what went wrong and as it's already up on the wall in one of my fabby frames Eric made I can't be doing with getting it down.

Apologies to Ang for my adding own touches which in all honesty did nothing for the layout, live and learn. If only !!

Next up is my tag for the challenge on SCD. This week it's tags again with the theme of "are you sitting comfortable". The background has been done with DI and stamped, then 2 owls stamped and coloured in and stuck on. Finally the whole thing had a watered down coating of perfect pearls washed over it to make it shimmer.

Hounds are all well, she says touching wood LOL.

Saturday's crop

Dawn and I had a lovely day at Otley crop yesterday, managed to do a DLO which I love, probably because I got to use pink and bling. Scrapping the hounds and Ben I tend to favour, blues, browns and greens so when the opportunity comes to use PINK I go a tad overboard LOL...

And yes I know I've missed an "r" out of surprise, only noticed it after I took the photo. Has duly been amended LOL.
