I've been a subscriber to the Design Collective since they started in March last year. I've learnt so much in that time and made lots of new friends but this week they announced as from the 31st March they will be ending. The forum will stay open until we finish our CJ circle June/July but no more classes. I shall really miss receiving the weekly classes and fully intend to "stalk" a few of the design team via they blogs LOL.

On a happier note I have joined an existing team on UKS called The secret stash strokers, Jane who I met via DC started a thread on DC asking if anyone was interested about joining them and I decided now would be a good time to join a team with the DC closing. So I am looking forward to discovering what it's all about and getting to know my team mates.

Spent today scrapping with Dawn as per our usual Thursday routine. We decided to do a class kit we bought several months ago from Ness at Papermaze using alcohol inks. Of course we didn't have the right colours at home but we had fun. Dawn stuck to the class and produced a fab LO, I wanted to do some journaling on mine so went off in my own direction as usual and substituted some papers and didn't use the flowers but quite pleased with the end result.

The journaling explains "The long goodbye" every time Ben has to go home he walks out the back door runs a few paces then rushes back to give us a kiss, roars off through the gate, turns to wave goodbye again, takes a few more paces to the car then goes back to the gate to bend down and wave through it before eventually making his way to Vikki's car. The whole process can take quite some time.

Used the alcohol inks to colour the ghost flower and metal tag and also to create the mixed colours of the circle on gloss photo paper.

Right off to feed some hungry looking hounds!

New camera

Well we've had the new camera a couple of weeks and are slowly getting used to it.
Got this shot of Jim on his new bed in front of the fire, he got so hot but wouldn't move even though the girls were all queued up waiting to pinch his spot LOL.

Had a lovely day at crop on Saturday managed to do two LO's but can't share at the moment. Also have finished the entry for the Design Collective CJ Journal, this month it is Heather's and her theme is Influential people. Again can't share as don't want to spoil the surprise but here's a sneaky peek.

Nest building

I don't know what is going on but I have gone into mega nest building mode LOL and no I'm way to old to be pregnant.

Finished the invites for Mum and Dad's party yay!!!!

Made new dog beds all by myself, which is a big achievement for me as I am useless at sewing.

Re-organised stash and finally think I am happy with it. But in the process of doing it I decided I needed an extra shelf in the study so ended re arranging all the photo's and ornaments in the whole house ! and even scanned and printed off some I've been meaning to do for ages. So after being here for 3 years plus I've finally got round to making it more homely. Problem was when we moved in we sort of camped here for 3 months as it was so bad. We lived in two rooms the study and bedroom, cooking consisted of a microwave and lean mean grilling machine in the study. The whole bungalow had to be renovated from the ceilings down and it took almost two years so by then I had kind of lost heart and interest in unpacking properly and even now we have a double garage full of boxes from the last two moves.

Eric is hoping to finish converting an old horse box he got into a trailer this weekend, then he can start gathering the bits he needs to dig out the base for the conservatory double yay !!!!! an extra room.

Off to crop tomorrow so need to do some preparation.

Where did January go? can't believe we're half way through Feb already.

Jim now has a naked leg and has been super not licking it at all, Sandy has yet another gum infection so is on AB's. Vet thinks she needs yet more toofy pegs out but we're hoping by extra cleaning of said toofies we may save a few.

Have given up choccie and buying any stash (gogo kit doesn't count) for lent, seems a long way to go but the good news is I've lost a 1lb this week, one more to go then I'll be back to pre Christmas big out LOL.
