SCD

Over at SCD this week it's still torso's and the theme is memories. Well I knew exactly what I wanted to do, a collage of all my rainbow bridge babies but then Saturday evening I received some news that fair broke my heart and I just couldn't face raking up memories that I knew would add to my sadness.

So I just went for a stamped image that conjured up a bygone era to me. I used DI inks to create the background and then did a bit of stamping. Then stamped the image again onto copy paper cut out the two figures and coated in sepia accents and mounted it onto the torso.

On a happier note this week sees Jim aga the hug monster reach his first year anniversary after being diagnosed with Osteosarcoma. As many of you know we had 3 of our beautiful hounds all diagnosed with the same dreaded illness in the space of a few months. Sadly Sandy and Ranger didn't live for long BUT here is Jim still healthy and happy and completely confounding his vets. Statistics show that a 3 month survival rate is good and 6 months is excellent after amputating. Guess know one told the big fella LOL.

.Here is the original post for those interested. Three wheels on his wagon and he's still rolling along..

Rachael and her Mum loved the maze books and exp boxes and the official photo's are gorgeous but oh so expensive. Shall have to choose wisely.

Such great news about Jim I read the orional post too. I realize it can be hard to do the things we want to create but with more time I am sure you will. I really enjoyed the post and your torso although 2nd choice is really good I love the image you have used and the background is just perfect too. Thanks for being brave this week and managing to join in with us at SCD

Love Dawn xx
