OMG can't believe it but I've made a start on Christmas presents !!!!
A friend of ours became a first time Grandma recently, so I've made her a canvass with a photo of the baby, so that's 1 down and heaps of other prezzies to make LOL.
Came across this last week, it's called faux dichroic glass technique and was totally blown away by it, so despite not having the right paint I had a go any way. Totally rubbish photo's and no where near as lovely as Julie's (and how kind she shared her new found technique) but boy are they so totally gorgeous IRL. I've done 8 different pieces but blogger isn't playing nicely tonight so here's two for now.
Even Mr T said wow how did you make them. High praise !!
Jim had an iffy day Tuesday but seems okay now, of course mega worrying took hold but I guess he's entitled to the same ordinary ailments as the other hounds but of course we put 2 and 2 together and come up with 5 d'oh !!!!
Mr T has just installed my new PC he has built me (early Christmas present) I want to play around with digi stuff but my old PC just couldn't cope and I fear regular crafting may go out the window if the surgeon decides I need yet another op on my hand when I go up Tuesday, so at least with digi I can still kind of play if the worst happens.
Scrapping with Dawn tomorrow and nothing prepared for that or Bramford crop on Saturday, had better get a shift on LOL...

SCD
So over at SCD the challenge this week is still arches and the theme is "BIRDS", yipee I have bird stamps and bird chipboard LOL.
My arch is cut from grungeboard because I wanted to try TH alchol ink agate on grunge LOL, so I duly painted my grunge then added AI's to it, then stamped some images and heat set. The bird cage I painted black, then silver then rubbed it down to distress it. The chipboard bird I painted, then added AI's then used glossy accents. You can image the mess my desk is in and as for my hands, lets just say the bleach will be needed. Had great fun with this.
I find taking a decent photo near on impossible but just wanted to show this photo, which the light caught and it didn't really show the arch so well, but it did capture how shimmery the background is......
PS manged a little stroll around the town, there and back in an hour but oh so enjoyed myself.

Fridays's scrapping
Been a bit of a busy week with no chance to prepare anything, so went with the class kit from papermaze crop. Funnily enough so did Dawn,.papers are from Basic Grey Capella and the photo is of my Mum and Dad.
Luckily it's an easy one (still made several mistakes though) as Ben went into hospital for a tooth out and I was obviously a tad pre occupied. Good job Dawn was here otherwise the waiting would have been much worse. Ben is fine of course and was back home by 7pm...
Jim had several days of being off this week, which sent us into major panic mode but he seems fine again now so maybe he had just over done it!
Hoping to nip into town now and buy a little prezzie for my brave little grandson. Haven't managed a wander into town since July because of hip so fingers crossed LOL.

SCD
Over at SCD it's still arches and the theme this week is *STARS*. I decided to go with my stars as in horoscope and being a December girl I'm a Sagittarius LOL.
I decided to go digi again this week and created my arch, then printed it out and added glitter and highlights and printed out the archer again, only slightly smaller as I was trying to create depth and shadow IYKWIM glossy accents to finish.
Stars as a theme has really brought out lots of different idea's from the DT team and other people taking part, go on take a look...

Papermaze crop
Yesterday I had a lovely day at Papermaze crop, even visited the shop to stock up on a few essentials LOL. Class kit is gorgeous and I took a photo along to do, thinking this one wouldn't take me long *snort* but as usually I faffed around and didn't get to start the class kit.
Photo is of my DD Vikki and my sister's DD Trudy, ever since they were little, when we take a photo of them they tilt their heads together. On this photo what made it even funnier was their horror at realising they were on the wrong side of each other and quickly changed places for the photo. Just had to be recorded !!!
Papers are all left over scraps mostly Penny Lane I think.
Off to put my thinking cap on now the this weeks challenge at SCD.

Friday's scrapping
So what with it being Friday, Dawn and I scrapped LOL. Finally finished the double layout off that I've been working on of Marc and Rachael's wedding. Papers are a mixture but mostly BOBunny.
Fab photo yes? NO it's terrible I know but you get the idea.
Left side
Right side
A couple of months ago Vanessa gave us a super class kit that I just adored so this DLO is based on that but with some changes....The titles were done on the craft robo and then used glossy accents on.
Hounds are all well!
I've been struggling with a painful hip joint and finally got a steroid injection in it this week, much better than it was but still not right but at least the pain is now bearable and I'm not quite so grumpy LOL...
Off to crop tomorrow.

SCD
Over at SCD it's still arches and this week the theme is 1950's.
The background was made with DI's and perfect pearls swooshed onto it, then the Marilyn Monroe image was printed onto acetate and laid over the top, with a few images cut out and stuck on, the 1950's is again on acetate and coloured in.
Okay so it's not a masterpiece LOL but the best I could manage todayand in some odd way it's growing on me.

SCD
Over at SCD we've moved on to arches and the theme chosen by Dawn for this week is Lace.
So here is my arch LOL
The middle is a stamp I played with at one of Carol's classes, stamped onto acetate and coloured with AI, I cut around the bottom section so I could lay part of my lace behind it. Then decided to make a sort of hat for the top, decorated with a piece cut from lace and a button.
Two posts in one day has to be a record...Sunday afternoon are definitely now SCD afternoon's...

Crop
Had a very nice day at crop yesterday and did this layout from papermaze class kit last month. Kit was designed by Karen who works in the shop as Vanessa was on holiday.
Papers are from Echo Park, and the photo's are of Ben, Gracie and Emily at Cleveland Zoo last month.
Need to put my thinking cap on now for this week's challenge over at SCD.

Friday's scrapping.
I've been meaning to scrap these photo's for a few weeks and finally got around to it today. I used some TH masks to make the background and used Eric's wrist tag from the bike show, all a bit plain really but it's so hard to do men pages LOL...
Little Ben started school today, really can't believe time has gone so quickly. Anyway he was very excited and looks so grown up and smart in his new uniform. Pinched this photo of the little man off FB so not great quality but Vikki has taken some others on the camera for me to scrap, of course. LOL
Off to Bramford crop tomorrow woohooo...
