So finally we found out the fluid has no infection and the hand surgeon was amazed to see the wrist looking so good after last week's episode LOL
So as it stands, I'm going into hospital for 7.30am Thursday to have the wrist fussed, slightly bigger op than planned as surgeon has now decided to take bone from hip and put in wrist along with the pins and plates.
I had been down for a regional anaesthetic which I hate as it means you're wide awake in theatre but now he needs to take some bone I'll be having a full general anaesthetic. I've been told to take overnight bag as I may not get out the same day as planned but that's a small price to pay if we can finally get this dam wrist fussed.

Scrapped at last
Okay so it's been a while since I actually did a paper layout LOl, this one was designed by Janina for the Bramford crop she runs once a month and uses pp's from Cosmo Cricket "making plans"
As Dawn came over Friday to scrap and cut out and did the prep for it (took me ages because of hand) and then Saturday at crop I put it together. Photo is Ben in America with two of his cousins Gracie and Emily.
I have been busy on the digi front and made loads of cards, actually all my cards right up to April are done LOL. This one was made using Dawn Inksips digi kit Making tracks and is for Dawn's (different Dawn) grandson who will be two in April.
Lucky has had yet more tests and finally cushings has been ruled out, the other tests were of course inconclusive but her vet and we agree thinks she has an under active thyroid, so we've started her on the drugs. They will take several weeks to have any effect if indeed any but if we are on the wrong track they won't do her any harm. Poor old ducks has looked so old and tired lately, we just want to see her back to her normal happy bouncy self.
As to my wrist.................... and knee..............
Knee is much better, had a steroid in it two weeks ago and yay I can walk again, not perfect but hey walking is good....
Monday evening my wrist started to swell and then became very red and burning up (and up till that point I had had no problems at all), Tuesday morning a bubble of something nasty appeared over a section of the scar, so when we got to the hospital (appt to assess if I was well enough for surgery on 10th) I was sent straight off for emergency bloods. Anyway they also managed to drain loads of fluid out which has gone off for testing, bloods show very high white blood count and the arthritis count is through the roof again. Operation to fuse on the 10th now looks iffy as they have to find out what's going on with the fluid, the surgeon has kept my slot open as he may have to operate again on the bit done on October and December. Wrist needs fussing urgently to stop this fluid keep coming back but can't be done whilst it is as it is if that makes sense, so now we're in a vicious circle.
I'm the surgeon tomorrow lunchtime to see what's happened with the fluid that has gone off to the lab, so fingers crossed all is well and I get the op Thursday.....would be nice if just for once a little good luck came this way LOL....

AWOL
Oops can it really be a whole month since I blogged LOl well I do have the Mother of all excuses.
On Christmas Eve I got carted off to hospital by ambulance (always the drama queen) and not only had emergency sugery on the blasted hand/wrist on Christmas Day and knee aspirated but I was really sick with a major RA flare up caused by that darn chest infection and then getting the flu! so I spent the entire Christmas in hospital. We eventually celebrated our Christmas Day in the New Year with all the family coming around, lots of food and present opening and finally had a good time.
Unfortunately I need another 2 ops on hand/wrist as it's a real mess now, so 10th February I'm going back into have it fussed followed by 8 weeks of being in plaster and then when recovered from that a further op to repair the tendons I have ruptured, hand/wrist is totally useless and spends 24hours in a splint to try and stop further damage but it doesn't cause much pain, unlike the blasted knee that has caused me far more problem's, totally housebound but yesterday I had a steroid injection and am keeping everything crossed it works otherwise we're talking more surgery and quite frankly my diary is a tad full of hospital visits LOL.
So no crafting done at all but I fully intend to start playing with digi stuff soon.
Thank you to everyone who sent me such lovely cards and messages, when you're down and out it means alot!!!!!

Last prezzie made
Finally managed to finish the last Christmas prezzie phew!!!! another Tando frame, very similar to the last one which was supposed to be for DIL but I liked it so much I kept it oops LOl so have made another and DIl will get this one. Not as decorated as the first as my hands are useless but still very pleased with it.
I've painted it with dark purple, then stamped and embossed and then painted again with a mixture of silver and pearl white and then rubbed it off. The two corners have viva ferro added and then I stamped it to that and to finish a flower which I coloured with DI inks.
Have also made some quick digi cards as I have several birthdays in the family in January. I've used Dawn Inkskips free kit called Joy.
Presents are wrapped, cards delivered just the decorations to be done tomorrow hopefully.....

SCD challenge and other stuff
The challenge this week is again tags with a theme of Christmas characters. Not sure my snowman really counts but seemed topical after all the snow.
Digi again this week as I have totally seized up and can barely move not LOL...
So due to being poorly I missed the Christmas crop but I hear my malteser cake was well received LOl and Dawn came back with this gorgeous birthday present for me from Carol, a little pizza box she had made, decorated and filled with so many lovely crafty bits. I adore it.
Last Thursday was my birthday and my cousin Sandra made me this beautiful little wall hanging, it's in the dining room for now but if and when I ever get a craft room it will go in there for sure.
lucky went for more test yesterday, protein levels in urine are still way to high as is her blood pressure, so more pills and more tests lined up, having said that she seems much brighter and happier this week. Which is more than can be said for me, missing Grandsons first Nativity play and Christmas crop has not been good...

Tando 3d tree
Thank you to everyone who sent birthday wishes yesterday, most of my visitors came the day before so I had a lovely day playing and getting messy, perfect way to spend your birthday LOL.
Made this or rather I decorated it LOl, love Tando stuff it is so sturdy and takes much abuse from me. I've sprayed it with glimmer mist, then painted gold on the edges and glittered the star, added gems and ribbons to finish.
A few photo's of my visitors and dogs of course LOL...
Vikki with Lucky and Jim
Mum with Gangley and Alfie
Dad and Mojo
and Marc, Harvey and Alfie and Lucky.
