I am bored and fed up!
Feel like the whole world is doing something except me !!!!!
Pain isn't too bad, just not being able to get around and do stuff, anything even housework would be better than nothing. I read, I watch TV and I EAT OMG have I been eating another reason to be fed up!!!
Please let me get a smaller cast on Tuesday.....

Thank you
To everyone who has sent messages asking how I am.
Op went well but the bone was not so good, so I have a screw in my foot which may or may not have to come out. Plaster is huge and much bigger than expected but hopefully I'll get a smaller one next week. Surgeon rang yesterday to say the fluid they drained out of foot is infected so a course of antibiotics is need YUCK! other than that I'm fine, completely bored as getting round is a) frowned upon as foot needs time to set and b) bloomin difficult LOL.
Mr T has as always been a star! taking over the running of the house and tending my every whim. I am of course trying hard to be a good patient LOL.
Little Ben is convinced that either the dogs or chickens have bitten my toe off. No idea why he's come up with this idea.
Been making a few cards, reading a bit and watching the tennis and sleeping alot....
back to hospital Tuesday.....

Fab weekend
Dawn and I set off at 10am and stopped off for lunch on the broads watching the boats and ducks and then carried on to the caravan site. By 12.45pm we had unpacked made the beds and were ready to start scrapping LOL. Weather was incredibly windy with lots of rain but the sun did come out in between the heavy rain showers. Not that it made any difference to us as we just scrapped, chilled and munched.
I managed 5 layouts and Dawn did 7! Back home yesterday only to be met by a very mediocre reception from the hounds, think the chickens were more pleased to see me LOL definitely sulky hounds LOL. Boy am I going to be in trouble when I disappear again tomorrow.
This was the last LO I did and ended up being my favourite. Photo of Vikki taken in 1997, pp from My Minds Eye.
This was the first LO of the weekend, pp from Crate papers and photo's are of Ben riding his quad bike a few weeks ago.
Then I spent hours sewing on this layout of Ranger, need to adjust a bit of the journalling which was done in haste and doesn't read quite right but it tells of his arrival here. PP from Bo Bunny.
I love this layout, the photo just seems to sum up the close bond between Eric and Ben, papers are scraps left over from a previous LO and are from Scenic Route.
And finally a class kit from Otley crop by Lesley with a few touches of my own. Papers are Basic Grey Marakech and the photo's well obvious really our first eggs from the girlies LOL.
Now I have to get sorted for hospital tomorrow! Hoping for day surgery but have been told to take a bag! anyway six weeks of being in plaster sounds fun right!
This week the team I'm in on UKS is setting the weekly challenge. This what we came up with
This year the Playtex Moonwalk took place in London on 16th May.
The Moonwalk, is one of a number of charity fundraisers which raises lots of money for breast cancer research. (see www.walkthewalk.org for more info). We are basing our challenge around this event.
use feet in your layout, a baby photo, sports day, a walk or some favourite shoes etc = 10pts
something round for the moon = 10pts
ribbon = 5pts
something pink = 5pts
and this was my example for people to see

Panic!
Dawn and I are off Saturday for our yearly treat, a weekend away in a caravan in Caistor. No chores no responsibilities just time to chill out and scrap! Yes we spend the whole weekend drinking Earl Grey munching maltesers and scrapping BLISS! hope it won't be told cold as we've had to go a month early this year due to fore coming op on foot followed by six weeks in plaster yuck! Anyway the plan was to prep an extra Lo each week so we'd have 6 to take away but of course neither of us did so now I'm in a panic getting sorted LOL there is only so much stuff you can take so a little thought is needed as it is most of the space in Dawn's mini is stash stuff with just one bag each for clothes etc LOL.
Did this layout last week of Ben back on his little quad bike after it had been put away for the winter. Eric found it in a skip last year and asked if he could have it. Put a new battery in and hey presto good as new.
Got some poorly dogs, Ranger has ripped his dew claw and bled everywhere! Lucky has hurt her neck again and cries every time she moves and poor Sandy woo has become very stiff in her back legs over the last few days and Alfie Bear has obviously crashed into something AGAIN and his blind eye is weepy! feels like I have my own dispensary handing out pills and potions. The hens are in fine form and lay four eggs most days but are a pain trying to get them to go to bed, neck wrestling is now a nightly event LOL.

FIVE
Yesterday the 4 hens produced five eggs, outstanding effort girlies!
The team I'm in on UKS is setting the weekly challenge on the 18th May and as I'm away I'll share the layout with you now. I won't spoil it by giving away the challenge elements though LOL.
Photo is of Vikki wearing this years new flyflots, every other year I treat her to a new pair and she them wears them constantly until it's too cold LOL. Paper is from Making memories and the flowers were cut out of a sheet from Sandylion.
Just finished potting up the pots and hanging baskets, a bit earlier than usual for me but needed to get it done as away at the weekend back Tuesday and into hospital Thursday so trying to clear lts of things I kno I won't feel like doing after the op.

Ouch!
Would you just look at the size of this egg one of the girlies gave me Wednesday. The one on the left is a medium/large the one on the right is just massive LOL.
Jim was back to the vets yesterday and after a couple of months of treatment has finally been discharged. What a relief at one point it looked as if he may have to have surgery on his back but the diazepman relaxed the muscles and kept him chilled whilst mother nature has had a chance to work her magic. Jim gets very worried going to the vets so Eric usually takes another hound for moral support, this time Ranger went and both Eric and the vet noticed as Jim got more and more anxious Ranger repeatedly stepped in between Jim and the vet trying to protect him. Made me smile.
Scrapped to day as Dawn had stuff to do yesterday and we had a lovely time as usual. Unusually for me I started and finished a layout LOL. The photo is of Ben taken a few weeks ago, so happy to be reunited with his little quad after it had been put away for the winter. Eric found the quad in a skip last year and asked if he could have it, after a bit of tinkering and a new battery it was as good as new. Papers are from Crate "Orbit collection" the rosette for journaling I made by pleating the paper and the flags were printed off the PC and covered in glossy accents.
Whilst Dawn and I scoffed our lunch we started making the list of stuff to take on holiday yay a week tomorrow.
Ben is refusing to eat chicken, I think he's frightening it's Nanny Rulu's (that's me) girlies....

My craft space
A couple of my team mates on UKS have recently managed to re arrange living accommodation and got themselves their own craft rooms and our new teamie Nic has a wonderful garage conversion, so I thought I show you my space.
Eric re arranged the study about 18 months ago and this is what I ended up with. I was thrilled with it at the time but now feel quite hard done by as even Dawn my best friend has a room of her own.
If the plans ever come to pass then I will eventually have a large room in the garage all to my self but until then !!!!!!

NSD
So National scrapbooking day saw me and Dawn head off to Bramford crop for a wonderful day of yapping and scrapping. Janina kindly made sure everyone got a prize so we didn't have to listen to Dawn sulking loudly for a change. My prize was a paper trimmer, I was dead chuffed with it as my current one is useless and my making Memories one is way to big to cart off to crop LOL.
Managed one layout, photo's are of Marc when he and Eric joined a group of fellow greyhound owners on a walk round Alton waters. The Greyhound walks are people from Suffolk, Essex and Norfolk who meet once a month whatever the weather for a walk. The walks are open to anyone owning a greyhound or lurcher. Eric decided to take Sandy, Jim, Lucky and Ranger with Alfie Bear and Gangley staying at home with me. Seriously Alfie Bear is a nightmare on a lead and would have tied everyone up in knots with over 40 dogs there and Gangley well we thought she might be safer at home LOL.
Visit my friend Carols blog she has posted this
and now for "Something Completely Different..."
...on the 15th May there is a new challenge blog starting....
HERE - do drop on over and have a look and see what its all about.
I really hope that you will be inspired by the weekly themes and monthly challenges and want to join in the fun....
Carol was on the DT for Tag you're it before it recently finished and really makes gorgeous "THINGS" check it out.

4 eggs
Yesterday for the first time we had 4 eggs from the girlies !!!!!! started off with 2 a day then went up to 3 although Sunday I only got 1 and now 4 woohoo. The girls are looking much better with their new feathers and I thought they looked fab until I saw some hens on my friends blog. Her hens must be about 5-6months old now and are huge compared to my little waifs LOL.
Nothing to show as the layout I did yesterday on my usual scrap day with Dawn is for a UKS weekly challenge in a couple of weeks that our team is doing.
Been to hospital twice in the last week, once for normal RA check up and Tuesday for pre admission appointment for my op on the 21st May.
Eric celebrated (that's not how he describes it) his birthday Wednesday so all the family came over for birthday cake in the evening, Ben had made his Grandad a spaceship which is lovely and will have to be scrapped LOL.
Off to Bramford crop tomorrow (NSD) and Janina is doing a door prize for everyone which is just as well cos if Dawn doesn't win she sulks loudly...
